Gilmore for Kids—Family Concerts (kids ages 5+)

Gilmore for Kids will be performed around West Michigan in eight afternoon or evening performances. Click here to find the performance nearest you.
Alpin Hong will be engaging children of all ages with his dynamic piano program, The Ultimate Special Effect.
Kids (and parents/grandparents, too!) get an introduction to the mystical classical compositional tools that reveal the magic behind movies and games youngsters love.
Discover the emotional effect that live artistry contributes to creating worlds as vivid and spectacular as the virtual reality that is so common today.
Piano wizard Alpin Hong leads this magical experience. Kids get in free, but must be accompanied by an adult (who pays just $5 per ticket!).
This popular family event is presented multiple times in five different counties throughout southwestern Michigan during the biennial International Gilmore Keyboard Festival. Audiences have heard solo pianists, original musical theatre and piano ensembles that convey musical facts, styles and more. Children are fascinated and parents are enlightened as they experience this innovative piano event!

Gilmore Elderhostel
The Gilmore Elderhostel presents a unique opportunity for seniors to experience the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival. A musical mentor, interaction with featured artists, and informative group sessions provide insight into Festival performances. Lodging, meals and transportation are provided, and community volunteers are on hand to assist and to enhance the participants’ stay. Seniors complete their residency with a deeper appreciation of music, as well as an understanding of the art of performance.
